Down 21-7 to Air Force, all Utah needed were a couple of 50-yard passes, an onsides kick, a two-point conversion all in less than a minute to earn the victory. And, miracle of miracles, it happened.

The Utes scored two touchdowns in a 10-second span in the final minute to stun the Falcons 22-21 and hurt Air Forces WAC title hopes. Mike Fouts threw a 17-yard scoring strike to Rocky Henry with 41 seconds left and a 50-yarder to Kevin Dyson with 31 seconds remaining.
