Utah's Grant Jerrett tries to defend Boston's C.J. Fair on a drive at the hoop Monday, July 6, 2015, in Summer League action at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City. The Jazz beat the Celtics, 100-82.

SALT LAKE CITY — The 18-player Utah Jazz roster dropped to 17 players earlier today as the Jazz announced the decision to waive Grant Jerrett.

The 6-foot-10 forward at 233 pounds played in three games for the Jazz last season, averaging just 3.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 8.7 minutes of action per game.

Jerrett did not see any playing time in this year’s preseason.

The California native played one year of college ball at the University of Arizona before declaring for the NBA draft.

Following the 2013 draft, Jerrett bounced around from the Oklahoma City Thunder to OKC’s D-League affiliate team, the Tulsa 66ers, and then back to the Thunder. In February, Jerrett was traded to the Utah Jazz.
