LOS ANGELES — A spokesman for Paula Deen says she didn't post a 2011 Halloween costume photo on her Twitter account showing her son Bobby in dark makeup as "I Love Lucy" character Ricky Ricardo.

Deen spokesman Jaret Keller said Tuesday that a social media manager posted the photo taken in connection with Deen's former Food Network show. The manager, who was not identified, was fired from Paula Deen Ventures, Keller said in a statement.

The photo was quickly removed Tuesday from Twitter, but not before drawing a flurry of online comments about Bobby Deen's use of makeup to portray Ricky, the fictional TV husband portrayed by Ball's real-life spouse Desi Arnaz.

Deen's relationship with the Food Network ended over her 2013 acknowledgment that she'd used a racial slur in the past.
