SALT LAKE CITY — Utah State has hired Louis Wilson as an assistant coach under Tim Duryea. The university announced the hiring Thursday morning.

Wilson joins the staff after holding the head coaching position at Division II Adams State for five seasons. His .674 winning percentage is the highest winning in school history. The Grizzlies had two 20-win seasons and played in the NCAA Division II tournament three times. Wilson posted a 95-46 record and had 13 players named all-conference.

Duryea said in a written statement that Wilson is known for his recruiting prowess and ability to develop players. Wilson played at William Jewel College and is a member of the school's Hall of Fame. He has been a coach for 23 years.
