MOUNTAIN CREST 11, KEARNS 10: Mountain Crest survived a wild game against Kearns to advance in in the winners bracket of the 4A state tournament.

WOODS CROSS 11, ROY 1: Alex Johnson pitched a complete-game victory with nine strikeouts to lead the Wildcats in the first round of the state tournament.

SPANISH FORK 6, OREM 1: Nic Roberts was 2-for-4 with a triple, Matt Creer was 2-for-3, and Jason Money had a double and two RBIs to lead the Dons in the first round of tournament play.

BOX ELDER 8, JUDGE MEMORIAL 7: Kooper Christoffersen hit a homer and had two RBIs while Collin Rainey hit a homer to lead the Bees in the home playoff win.

TIMPANOGOS 6, PROVO 4: Timpanogos scored two runners in the bottom of the sixth to pull away from Provo for the victory in the first round of the 4A state tournament as Derik Eaquinto picked up the victory on the mound.

SALEM HILLS 2, OLYMPUS 0: Easton Talon earned the win in the low-scoring pitchers duel and hit the game-winning RBI in the sixth inning to lift Salem Hills in the 4A playoffs.

SKY VIEW 4, BOUNTIFUL 1: After nine innings of neck-and-neck play, Sky View had a three-run homer with two outs in the top of the 10th to secure the playoff victory. Zachary Hansen struck out 13 batters for the Bobcats in the win while Parker DePasquale had 11 ks for Bountiful in the loss.


JORDAN 14, HILLCREST 4: The Beetdiggers sent nine runs across the plate in the opening inning and totaled 16 hits in the game to earn the win in the 5A state tournament.

PLEASANT GROVE 13, DAVIS 3: Ben Eldredge was 3-for-4 from the plate with two doubles and four RBIs to lead the Vikings in the 5A tournament win. Logan Carlson earned the win on the mound, striking out 11 batters in the complete-game victory.

FREMONT 5, LEHI 4: Braxton Bullock got out of a bases-loaded jam in the top of the seventh inning to earn the save and preserve the Silver Wolves playoff victory.

TAYLORSVILLE 11, COPPER HILLS 1: Taylorsvilles Cole Fivecoat struck out five and didnt allow a hit for five innings as Taylorsville rolled into the second round of the 5A state tournament. Austin Bettenob and Luke Jacketta" href="/sports/high-school/player/stats/155529/7/Luke-Jacketta">Luke Jacketta both went 2 for 2 with two RBI and a walk, while Braden DeBenedictis went 2 for 3 with a bases-clearing triple in the fourth.

AMERICAN FORK 7, VIEWMONT 0: The Cavemen blanked the Vikings.

COTTONWOOD 13, WEST JORDAN 1: Gaven Guthrie blasted two home runs and the Colts bookended the game with big innings to secure the first-round victory.

BINGHAM 10, HUNTER 0: Sean Keating only allowed three hits over five innings as Bingham topped Hunter to march into the second round of the 5A state tournament. Keating and Tyler Zupon both homered for the Miners.

LONE PEAK 5, NORTHRIDGE 2: Lone Peak broke a sixth-inning tie with three runs in the teams last at-bat. Brooks Goeckeritz led the home team with a triple while Tate Hansen and Nick Larsen each smacked doubles.

BRIGHTON 1, GRANGER 0: David Brog scored on an assist by Josh Clark in the first half, and that was all the scoring Brighton keeper Conner Dearden need as the Bengals blanked Granger for the 5A first-round win.


LAYTON 2, AMERICAN FORK 1: Innocent Twishime and Christian Cook both found the back of the net in the first half as Region 1 champion Layton held off American Fork for the 5A first round win.

TAYLORSVILLE 4, COPPER HILLS 3: In his first game back from a broken foot, Connor Ivins tallied three goals to propel the Warriors in the opening round of the 5A state tournament.

LEHI 5, VIEWMONT 1: Alex Sorenson and Kyle Curtis knocked in two goals apiece to lead the Pioneers in the playoff victory on the road.

HUNTER 1, BINGHAM 0: A stoppage time goal scored by Jandir Porta on a cross from Cristian Alfaro gave Region 2 champion Hunter the victory over Bingham. Justin Motzkus" href="/sports/high-school/player/stats/110758/3/Justin-Motzkus">Justin Motzkus picked up the shutout in goal.

ALTA 4, WEST 1: Four different players found the back of the net as the Hawks secured the first round of the 5A Playoffs.

RIVERTON 2, WEBER 1: Brett Smith and Micah Hammond both scored as Riverton blanked Weber to advance into the 5A quarterfinals.

EAST 6, BOX ELDER 4: Kuea Angilau knocked out a home run for the Leopards in the victory over Box Elder in the first round of the 4A Playoffs.

WOODS CROSS 9, ROY 0: Hanalee Robinson struck out eight batters in the complete-game victory for Woods Cross in the first round of the 4A playoffs.


BOUNTIFUL 4, SKY VIEW 3: McKenna Alley doubled twice and struck out five on the mound as she led the Braves to the narrow victory over Sky View.

MURRAY 10, SALEM HILLS 7: Emma Noble was 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and a triple while Ali Jennings struck out eight batters for Murray in the win.

SPANISH FORK 12, CORNER CANYON 0: Cheyanne Dowley knocked out a grand slam for the Dons to end the shutout over Corner Canyon in the first round of the 4A Playoffs.

CLEARFIELD 4, MOUNTAIN CREST 3: Hanna Golder hit a home run and Bailey Douglas pitched the win to lead the Falcons in the first round of the state tournament.


BINGHAM 10, HUNTER 5: Torre Glasker hit a homer and drove in three runs as the Miners beat Hunter in the 5A state tournament.

HERRIMAN 14, VIEWMONT 6: The Mustangs scored in each of the first three innings and got extra-base hits from Dayna Hokanson, Lauren Tycksen, and Ashlyn Visser to secure the first round victory.

FREMONT 10, PLEASANT GROVE 0: Ashlee Nebeker earned the shutout victory on the mound and went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Fremont in the first round of the state tournament.

WEST 3, ALTA 0: Shayna Alofipo pitched the win as the Panthers secured the victory over Alta.

LEHI 4, SYRACUSE 2: Defending 5A champion Lehi opened its state title defense with a road win as junior right-hander Sydney White threw a complete-game four-hitter and knocked in the Pioneers first run. Lehi broke a 2-2 tie in the seventh inning on Rylin Roberts leadoff double, a run-scoring Syracuse throwing error, and Brogan Kirbys RBI-single. Kayla Roberts also had a run-scoring single for the Pioneers. Abbey Bowden had a two-run single for Syracuse.

TAYLORSVILLE 11, JORDAN 3: Marissa Croft opened the first inning with grand slam to spark the Warriors in the first round victory. Jaycie Lebaron earned the win in the circle for Taylorsville.

COPPER HILLS 13, COTTONWOOD 0: Skylar Cook was 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs as the Grizzlies cruised in the opening round of the 5A state tournament.

RIVERTON 9, DAVIS 1: Jordan Lockhart hit a double and two homers in addition to pitching the win to lead the Silverwolves in the first round of the 5A state tournament.
