With the winter weather wreaking havoc across Salt Lake valley, Deseret News Sports Podcast co-host Jay Yeomans was stranded from the studio. However, the weather couldn’t stop show from moving on.

In this week’s episode, USA Today college sports writer Nicole Auerbach joins DeseretNews.com writer Carter Williams via phone to discuss the hottest basketball topics around Utah and throughout the country, as we roll into March.

Auerbach talks about her Huntsman Center experience and her takeaways from viewing Utah’s last two home games, as well as the impact following BYU’s road win at Gonzaga — and why the tournament would be better off with guys like Tyler Haws in it. She also answers an array of questions from across the country, including conference tournaments to watch and sleeper teams to watch for come bracket time.

And as a special gift, Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak also reads some Dr. Seuss — in case you missed that gem.
