The 87th Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, were last night and among the many talented and famous nominees, there are the first-timers whose thespian dreams have come true and those veterans who have been nominated many times, but have yet to grasp the all-important golden statue.

The freshman class of 2015 impressed Hollywood with actors Eddie Redmayne and J.K. Simmons, actress Patricia Arquette and musicians Common and John Legend winning big last night.

Your "always a bridesmaid, never a bride" nominees who have been nominated before, but have yet to win who finally saw Oscars gold last night include actress Julianne Moore.
