Stan Van Gundy has a good poker face.
Moments after appearing nonchalant about the Detroit Pistons’ trade deadline prospects, the Pistons acquired promising young point guard Reggie Jackson from the Oklahoma City Thunder and longtime Pistons star Tayshaun Prince from the Boston Celtics, according to a person with knowledge of the deals.
And it appears the price isn’t steep, with the Pistons having to surrender small forward Kyle Singler and point guard D.J. Augustin to the Thunder and forwards Jonas Jerebko and Luigi Datome to Boston just before today’s 3 p.m. trade deadline.
Jackson, 24, is a restricted free agent this summer, so the Pistons are in good shape in retaining his services long-term.
Prince, 34, could move into the starting lineup with Singler headed to OKC. It could be a swan song for Prince, who is in a contract year and will make $7.7 million this season.
