BYU senior guard Tyler Haws is among 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

Haws is currently No. 3 on BYU’s all-time scoring list, leads the West Coast Conference, and is second in the nation in scoring at 22.4 points per game.

Off the court, Haws regularly speaks at schools and to church youth groups throughout the state about making positive choices. He has volunteered his time visiting a school for disabled children and spending time teaching them about the game of basketball. He also has visited children with cancer and disabilities in their homes and schools.

A three-time team captain, Haws served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines.
