In a Brookings Institution video posted in August, Brookings Fellow Richard Reeves discusses social mobility, inequality and opportunity in America, using Legos to demonstrate how people can move up the social ladder and what factors impede or help their movement.

Among other things, Reeves explores how race, the marital status of the children's parents and the level of education a child achieves will impact his or her chances of moving up.
