RICH 33, DUCHESNE 6: Rich jumped on Duchesne early and controlled the first three quarters to dominate the Eagles in a battle of the top two teams in 1A the past three years. Cache Sabey rushed for two touchdowns to lead the Rebels. Jaden Wallentine caught a pass from Koy Brown for a score and recovered a fumble for another touchdown. Wyatt Remund punched in Duchesnes lone score.
DIAMOND RANCH 20, MONTICELLO 7: Ryan Gardiner ran for an 80-yard touchdown with just over a minute to play to ensure the Diamond Ranch win. It was Gardiners second score from 80 yards out, the first a punt return in the opening quarter. The Diamond Back defense also recovered a fumble for a score while Makade Maloy scored Monticellos lone touchdown.
MILLARD 55, LAYTON CHRISTIAN 6: Millard jumped out to a commanding 34-6 lead at the half and ended the game on a 21-0 run to blow past Layton Christian at home.
SOUTH SUMMIT 31, NORTH SUMMIT 12: South Summit beat a rival to stay undefeated in region play.
SUMMIT ACADEMY 60, AMERICAN LEADERSHIP 0: Summit Academy opened up a dominant 55-point lead at the break and cruised in the second half to knock off ALA at home. Hagan Hines erupted for a game-high five touchdowns four of which came on the ground to power the Bears past the Eagles.
ENTERPRISE 55, NORTH SEVIER 15: Enterprise jumped out to a 42-0 lead at halftime en route to the big win. Kelton Hunt found the end zone three times and Isaac Wallin twice to pace the Wolves. Kasey Anderson threw a touchdown for North Sevier in the loss and Casen Burgess ran for another.
SOUTH SEVIER 34, BEAVER 28: South Sevier built a three-touchdown lead through two quarters and then staved off a Beaver comeback bid to get the win. Trevor Jones threw three touchdowns for the Rams, two to Justin Sattley and one to Brock Bastian. The South Sevier defense also returned to interceptions to the house in the win.
GRAND 26, PAROWAN 16: Grand took a two-touchdown lead at the half and held on in the second half to knock off region rival Parowan on the road.
JUAB 40, MANTI 14: In a battle of unbeatens in region, Juab jumped out to a big 26-7 halftime lead and rolled to the home victory to stay perfect in region play. Juabs Ashton Seeley opened the game with a 27-yard touchdown on a Manti fumble.
TAYLORSVILLE 29, HUNTER 26: After giving up the go-ahead TD, Toa Maumau darted 29 yards into the end zone to put Taylorsville back up with under a minute left as the Warriors held on for the narrow win. Maumau was unstoppable all game long as he accounted for all four of Taylorsvilles touchdowns three on the ground and one passing TD on the night. Joseph TiaTia set a new school record for Hunter with 367 rushing yards on 34 carries. He scored twice.
WEST 48, COTTONWOOD 14: West jumped out to a commanding 21-0 lead at halftime and cruised in the second half to blow past Cottonwood on Homecoming night.
HILLCREST 48, GRANGER 27: Hillcrests dominant first quarter proved to be the difference maker as the Huskies hung on for the 21-point victory over Granger. Tanner Thompson and Ian Smith combined for five touchdowns on the ground to power the home team in the win. Robert Liehr threw two TDs and ran for another in the loss.
ALTA 45, COPPER HILLS 38: Alta used a big first half and held off a late Copper Hills charge in the second half to get its first win of the season. Zack Moreton had a 25-yard fumble recovery and ran for another TD to power the home team in the win. Karl Kumpkin hauled in two TD passes to lead Copper Hills in the loss.
BINGHAM 58, JORDAN 41: Bingham scored the games first three touchdowns and cruised to the win. Kyle Gearig threw for three scores and ran for another to lead the Miners.
BRIGHTON 66, WEST JORDAN 26: Brighton opened up a 56-point lead in the first half and coasted in the second half to pick up the dismantling victory over West Jordan.
PLEASANT GROVE 14, WESTLAKE 7: After falling behind 7-6 at the break, Pleasant Grove came out in the second half and put eight points up on the board while holding Westlake scoreless to pick up the comeback victory on the road.
SKY VIEW 35, BOX ELDER 19: Isaac Hermann ran for three touchdowns while Garris Beach ran for another and threw one to power Sky View past Box Elder on the road. Connor Udy set the pace for the home team with two scores on the ground and another in the air.
LOGAN 21, MOUNTAIN CREST 14: Kinkade Wildman was responsible for all of Logans touchdowns in the win, throwing for two and rushing for another.
BONNEVILLE 49, OGDEN 14: Sealun Erskine threw three touchdowns to lead Bonneville as it routed Ogden. Alex Croyle and Bryan Burns rushed for two scores apiece to aid the Lakers. Three others found the end zone for Bonneville in the balanced effort.
WOODS CROSS 50, KEARNS 0: Tau Mamata rushed for a 48-yard touchdown on the final play of the game to cap a dominating performance by Woods Cross. Tanner Hammond tossed three touchdowns, each to a different receiver, to lead the Wildcats to the win. The Woods Cross defense got a safety and an interception return in the shutout.
EAST 50, CLEARFIELD 33: East outscored Clearfield 29-14 in the second quarter and matched the Falcons in the second half to cruise to the region victory. John Mafi and Gavin Herd combined for four touchdowns on the ground while Herd threw another to power the Leopards in the win. Brock Martinez ran for two scores in the loss.
BOUNTIFUL 49, CYPRUS 7: Bountifuls Caden Simmons crossed the pylons twice on the ground while Andrew Knudsen hauled in a TD pass and returned a kick 90 yards to the house to lead the Braves past Cyprus.
CORNER CANYON 44, OREM 41: Braxton Martison made a field goal with a second left to help Corner Canyon escape with the win and stay perfect. It came after Orem had scored the first 20 points of the fourth quarter to dig out of a big hole.
MURRAY 34, OLYMPUS 28: In a wild double-overtime game, Murrays Drew Cash found Mitch Rasmussen for the 12-yard touchdown for the win. Cash threw four touchdowns and Rasmussen was on the receiving end of two of those scores and added a 50-yard punt return for a score in the first half.
MOUNTAIN VIEW 20, TIMPANOGOS 14: After finding the end zone at the end of the game to force overtime, Mountain View was able to hit pay dirt and hold Timpanogos scoreless in the extra period to pick up the region victory.
WASATCH 25, SPANISH FORK 22: After falling behind 13-0, Wasatch outscored Spanish Fork 15-0 in the third quarter to get back in the game and set up Skyler Southams 42-yard, game-winning field goal.
SALEM HILLS 34, SPRINGVILLE 7: Salem Hills used a big second quarter to gain a lead they would never relinquish. Porter Gustin had a monster game with four touchdown passes to lead the Skyhawks to the home victory.
MAPLE MOUNTAIN 35, PROVO 20: Maple Mountain quarterback Jaren Hall threw for three touchdowns and running back Jordan Larson added two rushing touchdowns in the road victory. Despite the loss, Provos Villami Iongi had a good game throwing for two scores and rushing for another.
HIGHLAND 28, SKYLINE 27: Highland and Skyline battled back and forth throughout regulation and it was only fitting that the game went into overtime. In the OT, the Rams answered the Eagles scored and made their extra point for the one-point win.
SAN JUAN 54, GUNNISON 8: San Juan kept its undefeated season alive with a stout defense that took three interceptions back to the house (two by Jordan Blake and one by Bronz Eldredge). Trason Jack added two more TDs on runs of 46 and 31 yards, respectively.
TIMPVIEW 24, LONE PEAK 10: Trailing 10-0 midway through the second quarter, undefeated Timpview scored 24 unanswered points to get the win and remain perfect. Britain Covey threw two touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Thunderbirds.
KANAB 41, ALTAMONT 20: Layne Anderson lead Kanab with three touchdown passes and a TD on the ground in the win. Aaron Foster and Brandon Southwick found the end zone twice apiece to help in the victory.
MILFORD 65, WHITEHORSE 0: Wade Netto ran for four touchdowns and returned a punt for another to lead Milford as it blanked Whitehorse. Sophomore signal-caller Jordan Hardy tossed two touchdowns to aid the Tiger cause. The Milford defense got a safety as part of its shutout.
DIXIE 7, CANYON VIEW 0: Elizabeth Durrant scored a hat trick and then added another goal for good measure to lead Dixie in its dominant win over Canyon View. Three others scored for the Flyers and Taylor Whitson got the shutout in goal.
CEDAR 1, PINE VIEW 0: Cedar blanked the Panthers.
DESERT HILLS DEF. PINE VIEW 25-13, 25-12, 25-20: Desert Hills dominated in a sweep of Pine View.
