MOUNTAIN VIEW 0, TIMPVIEW 0 (BRUINS WON SHOOTOUT 8-7): Regulation and two overtimes wasn't enough for Timpview and Mountain View to come to a decision, so the two teams went to a shootout with Mountain View escaping with the first-round victory. The Bruins topped the T-Birds 8-7, with McKenna Wiscombe netting the winning PK to complete the upset. Natalie Hall and Daryl Kaufusi each recorded the shutouts.

HIGHLAND 2, LOGAN 0: Kate Orchard and Krystle Payne each netted goals to help Highland advance to the second round of the 4A playoffs. April Owens earned the shutout between the posts for the Rams.

BONNEVILLE 1, BOUNTIFUL 0: Bonneville made a first-half goal hold up as it stunned Bountiful in the 4A first round.

TIMPANOGOS 3, WASATCH 1: Timpanogos built a big lead in the first half thanks to a pair of goals scored by Jordyn Chung-Hoon, and one by Olivia Burnett. Timpanogos held on to advance to the second round of the 4A state playoffs.

CLEARFIELD 1, SKY VIEW 0: Lexi Taylor's goal in the first half of play proved to be the difference maker, as goalkeeper McKenna Sill and the rest of the Clearfield defense kept Sky View at bay en route to the victory. Clearfield advanced to the second round of the state 4A playoffs.

SKYLINE 6, SPRINGVILLE 0: Skyline rolled past Springville to advance to the second round of the 4A state playoffs. Emma Heyn scored twice for the Eagles, while HIllary Weixler received credit for the shutout in net.

MAPLE MOUNTAIN 5, CORNER CANYON 0: Elise Flake found twine twice as Maple Mountain blew past Corner Canyon to advance to the second round of the 4A playoffs. Brooke McCluskey earned the shutout between the posts.

EAST 1, MOUNTAIN CREST 0: Visiting East scored late in the second half to knock off Mountain Crest and advance to the 4A quarterfinals.


BRIGHTON 6, WEST 0: Jocelyn Loomis netted two goals and the Bengals scored four times in the second half to cruise past West. Tamaryn Braun and Carly Olson split the shutout to help Brighton advance to the second round of the 5A playoffs.

DAVIS 2, RIVERTON 2 (DARTS WON SHOOTOUT 3-2): Riverton scored two goals in the second half to extend the game into overtime, but the match would need a shootout as neither team could gain an edge. Davis pulled off the upset and advanced to the second round of the 5A playoffs by winning the shootout 3-2. Hailey Skolmoski netted two goals in the loss.

FREMONT 2, AMERICAN FORK 0: Mariah Elmer's two scores helped Fremont defeat American Fork and advance to the second round of the 5A playoffs. Alexis Burnett earned the shutout between the posts for the Silver Wolves.

JORDAN 5, COTTONWOOD 2: Tiffany Huyette found the back of the net twice to propel Jordan to the second round of the 5A playoffs. Brooke Evans netted two goals for Cottonwood in the loss.

VIEWMONT 5, LEHI 0: Viewmont rolled past Lehi to advance to the second round of the 5A state playoffs. The Vikings got goals from Jessica James, Abbie Flandro, Montana Tanner and Karrie Pead, who scored twice in the match.

HILLCREST 1, BINGHAM 0: Sophomore standouts Skye Jeffries and Nicole Jessen carried the Huskies into the second round of the 5A state playoffs with suburb play. Jeffries scored the lone goal of the game while Jessen kept Bingham off the scoreboard, recording the shutout in net.

ALTA 8, HUNTER 0: The Hawks found the back of the net seven times in the first half to pick up the first-round win of the 5A playoffs against Hunter. Sydney Fitzpatrick, Bizzy Phillips and Madie Lyons each scored two goals to power Alta's offense.

LONE PEAK 2, NORTHRIDGE 0: Natalie Lewis and Ellie Smith knocked in goals in the second half to lift Lone Peak over Northridge. Tess Arnold and TJ McKendrick assisted on the goals as Lone Peak advanced to the second round of the 5A playoffs.


GUNNISON 5, NORTH SEVIER 4: Gunnison exploded for five goals in the first half and held on in the second half to earn a spot in the 2A playoffs. Braylie Peterson netted the hat trick while Kate Sorenson added two scores of her own for the Bulldogs. Miranda Wilcox scored all four of North Sevier's goals in the loss.



LAYTON DEF. DAVIS 25-13, 25-18, 19-25, 25-21

NORTHRIDGE DEF. WEBER 25-8, 25-15, 25-21: Northridge blew past Weber at home in three-straight sets. Tabby Williams had 28 assists, six aces, two digs and one block assist; Rachel Parson added 11 kills, four digs and two aces; Kaitlin Vervitski contributed 12 kills, seven digs, four aces and one block assist and Kelly Erwin finished with 14 digs and four aces in the win.

SYRACUSE DEF. VIEWMONT 19-25, 21-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-12: After dropping the first two sets of the match, Syracuse came storming back and took three in a row to defeat Viewmont on the road. Amanda Riley had 23 kills, 16 digs and two solo blocks; Emily Madsen added 13 kills; Lauren Marrow finished with 38 digs and Mary Luczak dished out 36 assists in the win.


WEST DEF. HILLCREST 25-12, 28-26, 25-18: West blew past the winless Huskies in region play.

TAYLORSVILLE DEF. HUNTER 25-11, 25-9, 25-21: Bridget Tallia had 15 kills as Taylorsville remains unbeaten in Region 2 play following its win over Hunter.


BRIGHTON DEF. WEST JORDAN 25-18, 25-19, 16-25, 25-23

ALTA DEF. COPPER HILLS 25-16, 25-18, 20-25, 25-13: Alta earned the road win over Copper Hills in four sets. Roni Jones had 21 kills, two aces and eight digs; while Ashlee Anderson added 11 kills and eight digs in the win.

COTTONWOOD DEF. GRANGER 25-16, 25-18, 25-21: The Colts blew past the visiting Lancers in three straight sets to pick up the win.

BINGHAM DEF. JORDAN 25-11, 25-20, 25-22 Bingham cruised past Jordan in three straight sets on the road to come away with the victory.


LEHI DEF. WESTLAKE 26-24, 25-4, 25-14

LONE PEAK DEF. RIVERTON 25-18, 25-21, 25-20

PLEASANT GROVE DEF. AMERICAN FORK 25-16, 25-17, 25-18: Pleasant Grove's 42 kills and 10 aces helped the Vikings sweep American Fork in region play.


BONNEVILLE DEF. OGDEN 25-21, 25-23, 26-28, 25-16: Chloe Oki had 15 points, nine aces, 13 kills and 14 digs; Clara Call added 25 assists, 11 digs and one ace; and Nina Kubricky finished with two points, nine digs and one ace as Bonneville rolled past Ogden at home. Sam Filiaga also had eight kills, two solo blocks and five block assists, while Cortney Porter 14 kills, one ace, eight digs and two solo blocks

MOUNTAIN CREST DEF. BOX ELDER 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-14: Mountain Crest defeated Box Elder in four sets as Marissa Perrett finished with 11 kills and four blocks to power the home team.


CYPRUS DEF. JUDGE MEMORIAL 25-18, 25-13, 25-20

BOUNTIFUL DEF. KEARNS 25-18, 25-12, 25-13: Bountiful rode a great all-around team performance to victory over Kearns.


OLYMPUS DEF. CORNER CANYON 27-25, 25-18, 25-18: Olympus picked up the road win by sweeping Corner Canyon in three straight sets. The Titans tallied 31 kills, 70 digs and eight aces in the win.


DESERT HILLS DEF. HURRICANE 25-21, 25-20, 25-16: Desert Hills took care of Hurricane in three sets to remain unbeaten in region play.

SNOW CANYON DEF. DIXIE 25-17, 25-15, 25-19: Crash Parker had 15 kills and hit .342; Mikenna Durante added seven kills and Kodee Avery contributed 28 assists in Snow Canyon's win over Dixie.


MORGAN DEF. JUAN DIEGO 25-14, 25-19, 25-16: Kennedy Wartman had seven aces and seven kills, while Jayden Farr added one ace, nine kills and a solo block to power Morgan on the road.


BEAR RIVER DEF. BEN LOMOND 25-22, 25-15, 25-14


AMERICAN LEADERSHIP DEF. SUMMIT ACADEMY 25-11, 25-15, 25-19: The Eagles were led by five outstanding seniors in the sweep.

WATERFORD DEF. LAYTON CHRISTIAN 22-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-21: Charity Bradley's 17 kills helped Waterford outlast Layton Christian at home. Vanessa Marshall had 13 kills and 31 digs in the loss.

SOUTH SUMMIT DEF. NORTH SUMMIT 25-16, 25-19, 25-15: South Summit blew past North Summit to earn the region victory.


ST. JOSEPH DEF. TINTIC 25-6, 25-7, 25-6: St. Joseph successfully swept Tintic to remain undefeated in region play.

WENDOVER DEF. WEST RIDGE ACADEMY 25-15, 25-14, 25-9: Wendover picked up the road win over West Ridge Academy in three straight sets.


PINNACLE DEF. GREEN RIVER 23-25, 9-25, 13-25: Green River defeated Pinnacle in three straight sets in region play.
