Salt Lake would add five more runs in the ninth inning with the last three coming on a three-run homer to the opposite field in left by Hawpe. Prior to the late inning rally, Salt Lake had just one run on only two hits through the first seven innings.

Ryan Brasier (1-1) retired all six batters he faced in the seventh and eighth innings to earn the victory. Starter A.J. Schugel went four and two-third innings and allowed two runs on four hits with five strikeouts and four walks.

Offensively, Hawpe led the way with three hits, while Hall added one hit and two RBI. The Bees have now won the first two games of the series and are 3-3 on the road trip.
