Marlin Nephi Dustin1934 ~ 2012Our father, grandfather and husband, Marlin Nephi Dustin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 22, 2012, in Salt Lake City, Utah, from causes incidental to pulmonary fibrosis. Marlin was born on October 26, 1934 in Garden City, Utah, to Nephi Niels Dustin and Ardella Hunsaker. He graduated from high school in Grantsville, Utah in 1953, and attended BYU until he served an LDS mission in the Gulf States Mission from 1956 to 1958. He met his eternal companion, Sharren Ann Wagner, and they were married by President Spencer W. Kimball in the Salt Lake Temple on January 4, 1960.He is survived by his wife, Sharren, and his six living children: Mark (Tracy), Sheryl (Roy) Myrick, Carol (Gary) Williams, Michael (Jennifer), Steven (Brandy), and Dawn (Thomas) Sleight, foster daughter Tammy R. Fine, 18 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sisters Nina and Alice, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.Preceded in death by his parents Nephi Niels Dustin and Ardella Hunsaker, sisters Shelley, Anna, and brother Dean.A viewing will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Southgate Chapel, 2702 S. Main St., from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. An additional viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m. preceding the 10:00 a.m. services at the Southgate Chapel. Funeral services under the direction of Mountain View Memorial Estates.
