Warren Junior Jones1923 ~ 2012Warren passed away March 6, at the age of 88. He was born July 16, 1923, in Heber City to Elisha Warren and Hannah Cecelia Crook Jones. In spite of hard times he often reminisced about happy childhood memories with his parents and siblings, Carol, Donna and Kent. With his father, he loved herding the sheep in Lake Creek and farming. He enjoyed fishing trips to the West Fork, riding his horse through the forest and activities with his cousins. He graduated from Wasatch High School. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was very patriotic. After returning from the service he married Dena Evans and they are the parents of Alan and Dean Jones. Dena passed away Dec. 21, 1952. Warren then married Nola Gordon Graham and along with her two children, Deanne and Clark Graham, they merged their young families into one. Together they had a daughter, Cheryl. Warren enjoyed farming, and was employed for 37 years in the Open Hearth of Geneva Works, U. S. Steel Corp, where he was known as "Beef".After Nola's death in 1990, Warren moved to St. George where he married Betty Monks (later divorced). In 2010, he reunited with his teenage sweetheart, Wilva Sweat Anderson and they married. Warren's life spanned many interesting eras from horse and buggy to jet planes. One trait he passed on to his family is his love of riding through the forest on the back of a horse. He loved family campouts and the annual elk hunt with the guys. He loved to drive through Lake Creek, Strawberry and his beloved Heber Valley. He leaves a legacy of honesty, integrity and hard work. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and was very conscientious about his ecclesiastical duties. For many years he enjoyed serving in the St. George Temple one day of the week.He is survived by his wife Wilva, and his children Deanne (Keith) Jacobson, Alan (Karen) Jones, Clark A. (Susan) Graham, Dean E. (Brenda) Jones and Cheryl J. (Steven) Larson. One of his greatest joys was being a grandfather to 19 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren as well as several step-grandchildren. His brother H. Kent (Marlene) Jones lives in Heber and they especially enjoyed this past year together. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters: Carol (Francis) Torney, and Donna Jones; wife, Dena Evans Jones, wife, Nola Gordon Graham Jones, daughter-in-law, Lynda Mitchell Jones, son-in-law, Steven R.
