F. McKay Smith1927 ~ 2012Frederick McKay Smith, age 84 passed away of natural causes March 4th, 2012 at his home in Draper, Utah with his wife at his side. McKay was the son of David and Emily Smith of Idaho Falls, Idaho. He married Jeannine Taylor Sep. 3, 1946 in the Idaho Falls temple. He was an Idaho cattle rancher, a Utah and Arizona educator, he conducted business world wide, and had innovations in biophysics and geophysics, he was a faithful member of the LDS church. He loved people and his dreams and work of his life revolved around helping others, the central theme of his life though was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grand father, great and great great grandfather. An indomitable optimist he was always encouraging those around him to a brighter future. Survived by his eternal companion, Jeannine, of 65 years; children, Linda (LeDale Mecham); Fred (Merilyn); Taylor (Coralynn); Joseph(Debbie); Ruth (Ken Raleigh); Becky (John Mashler); Aimee (Mark Ward); Clarence (Diane); Peter (Stephanie); Ben (Becky); Esther (Don Rubisch); Tony (Yadira); 71 Grandchildren; 113 Great grandchildren; one Great Great grandson, brother Albon Smith (Mary), Sisters, Rayola (Leslie Wanlass dec.) Lapreal (Ron Pond), Joann (Wilford Ruf),and brother-in-law Kenneth Ellis. Deceased siblings include, Harlon (Shirley); Esther (Vaughn Stosich); Lorraine (Wells Wilkinson); Dale (Shirley); Carol (Forrest Thompson); Jean (Kenneth Ellis,living). Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday March 10th, 2012 in the Kings Peak Bldg., Hollow Creek Road (14085 S.) 498 E., Draper, Utah.
