Judith A. Rasband has been named "Home Economist in Business (HEIB) of the Year for 1988" in Utah. Home Economists in Business is a sub-organization to the American Home Economist Association and the Utah Home Economist Association. The award was presented at the HEIB annual meeting in Park City.

Rasband specializes in clothing and cosmetics. In addition to writing a weekly column, "Let's Face It" for the Deseret News and other western newspapers, Rasband heads Personal/Professional Image Consultants, a business that provides consulting services, educational materials and training manuals, programs, seminars and courses relating to image awareness and improvement.Rasband holds a masters degree in Home Economics Education, with a specialty in the artistic, social and psychological aspects of dress. Her background of fashion merchandising, fashion styling, fashion writing, modeling, cosmetology and education includes nine years as a member of the Department of Clothing and Textiles at Brigham Young University.

Just completing a book titled "Public Persuaders: Messages in Fashions, Faces and Figures," Rasband is also scheduled as a guest speaker at the National Image Industry Seminar this August in New York City and the American Home Sewing Association's annual meeting in September in Nashville, Tennessee.
