A jury has rejected a $48 million suit filed by a couple who said their Audi 5000 car surged forward and killed their 6-year-old son.

The federal jury deliberated three hours Tuesday before finding in favor of Audi AG of West Germany and its parent, Volkswagen of America, in one of numerous suits alleging Audis are subject to sudden, unintended acceleration.John and Kristi Bradosky, of Jackson Township near Canton, said their son Joshua was pinned between the car and their garage wall in 1986.

Mrs. Bradosky said the engine was running and that she had shifted from park into drive and gently placed her foot on the accelerator when the car urged forward and would not stop despite pressure on the brake pedal.
