The deadline for submitting executive summaries for the Utah Innovation Foundation seed capital conference Aug. 5 in the Yarrow Hotel in Park City has been extended to June 20, according to Brad Bertoch, foundation executive director.
Bertoch said the deadline extension will allow those who have been out of town presenting executive summaries at other venture capital conferences a chance to get involved in the Park City meeting. He said the extension also will give companies a chance to polish their presentations. The summaries will be reviewed by a panel of local investors and business development leaders for presentation to local investors.
Named to the selection panel were Richard Shanaman, general partner of Utah Ventures; Glen W. Stewart, general partner of Eagleplace Venture Fund I; Edwin J. Salvi, senior vice president and manager of business banking for Continental Bank and Trust; Barry Erickson, partner-in-charge of emerging business services at Deloitte Haskins & Sells.
Others are Lynn DeBry, partner-in-charge of Peat Marwick & Main's high technology practice; Larry Holman, partner in the law firm of Jones, Waldo, Holbrook and McDonough; and Kent Moon, Utah director of the Small Business Administration.
