Kathryn Marshall, city recorder for Salt Lake City, was recently elected to the board of directors of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
The IIMC is a professional association of 9,000 county, city, village, town and township clerks from the United States, Canada and 12 other countries. Marshall will serve a one-year term as the representative of the 11 Western states in Region 8.
Marshall has held positions in several city departments over the past 15 years, and has been city recorder since 1981. She previously served as vice chairwoman on the IIMC Records and Management Committee.
She has also been active as a member of the Association of Records Managers and Administrators, and is currently chairman of the Salt Lake City Records Management Committee.
