Maryland officials will hold a competency hearing Monday for Clarence Leake, who took hostages at the Washington Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1986.

Leake's trial has been postponed three times, most recently when his attorney asserted that Leake was not responsible for his actions. A spokesman for the Montgomery County Court said that Leake would either be found incompetent to stand trial or would be tried next week.
