The Utah Department of Transportation is offering a $200 reward for information about vandals who have destroyed highway signs in the Beaver area.
More than $650 worth of signs, including stop signs, speed limit signs and street signs, have been destroyed during the past few weeks. Most have been damaged beyond repair by gunshots.Besides costing the taxpayers money to replace the signs, UDOT says the vandalism can create a very hazardous situation for motorists when signs are damaged or illegible. The first person to give information under oath that leads to the apprehension and conviction of those destroying the signs will be offered the reward.
Anyone with information concerning the incidents should call J.R. Chamberlain at 586-4491.
