Center Kevin Duckworth of the Portland Trail Blazers says he will sign an eight-year NBA contract that will pay him more than $12 million.

Four unidentified NBA executives attending the league's pre-draft scouting camp in Chicago said they believed the deal was worth closer to $16 million, the newspaper reported.

If the deal is completed, it would make the 7-foot, 275-pound Duckworth the highest-paid player on the team and one of the highest-paid players in the league.
