Those who may be driving off-road vehicles without a license or a vehicle education certificate may get a limited reprieve.

A new law requiring operators of all ages to go through vehicle training courses takes effect July 1. But because the education program has required more time to develop than was expected and because the requirement is new, the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation has asked law enforcement agencies to issue only written or verbal warnings to violators until July 1,1989.The Off-Highway Vehicle Education program is the result of a law passed by the Utah Legislature in 1987.
