NORTH SALT LAKE — LDS Employment Resource Services is planning a "job camp" designed to help individuals who are unemployed, underemployed and those considering self-employment.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from human resource personnel representing dozens of companies during workshops covering such topics as working from home, reinventing oneself and the effective use of social media in business.

“The job camp allows us to bring together resources, including speakers and workshops, to a single location,” said Richard Vunder, Ogden manager for LDS Employment Resource Services, in a news release. “Job seekers gain valuable information without the need to drive from place to place to get their questions answered.”

The event, which is open to everyone, regardless of religious affiliation, is Thursday, Jan. 27 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Bountiful Regional Center, 835 N. 400 East in North Salt Lake. For additional information, call Vunder at 801-394-8801.
