I usually really enjoy Lee Benson's columns. His observations and comments generally seem to be right on the mark.
Today (Dec. 11), however, he goes on about Sarah Palin like she was a losing contestant on "American Idol." He recites much of the criticism we read about her during the last presidential campaign. He also questions her motives for resigning her governorship without learning why.
My recommendation to Mr. Benson is: Read the book!
In doing so, my wife and I were equally impressed by her down-to-earth and delightfully old-fashioned approach to all aspects of her life. She obviously makes good judgments, takes responsibility and moves on without excuses.
We could hardly put the book down, which is not always the case with Benson's writings.
