Do folks favoring things such as "health care for the poor" and "giving billions away to other countries to help fight global warning" ever balance their checkbooks? It doesn't matter how many "good things" can be done with money. If the money isn't there, you can't spend it. We all use the money "allotted to us" the best we can. There is always give and take. But the bottom line has to be, when the account is empty, we stop spending.
