Paula Hawkins.The parking lot and the pews were packed inside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, despite the rainy weather, a tribute to Hawkins' pioneering spirit.Admirers said Hawkins had the courage to run as a Mormon Republican woman in a state that was mostly Christian and more Democratic at the time.
