A construction worker suffered minor injuries when he jumped from a steam roller used for paving roads after he lost control and it rolled down a hill.

Salt Lake City police said they believe the man steered the machine wrong about 3:15 p.m. on Thursday while working in the Tanner Park area where crews were constructing a new roadway near the junction of I-80 and I-215.

The man was taken to a local hospital, Salt Lake Police Lt. Scott White said.
