A man who authorities say told two men to strip at gunpoint while he robbed them faces criminal charges.
The two men were returning to one of their offices in the area around The Gateway mall last month when a man with a gun forced them into an office and repeatedly struck one of the victims in the face with the weapon, according to charges filed Thursday in 3rd District Court.
The man took driver licenses, Social Security cards, credit cards and cash from both and warned them not to tell police or he would show up at their houses, court records state.
Mark Devone Leavitt, 35, of Salt Lake City, was arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony, and two counts of retaliation against a witness, victim or informant, a third-degree felony.
