OGDEN — Police say they are looking for three men who forced their way into an Ogden home at gunpoint Tuesday.

The men, with their faces covered and dressed in black hooded sweatshirts, kicked in the door of a home in the 2300 block of Van Buren Avenue shortly after 1 a.m., said Ogden Police Lt. Scott Sangberg. One of the men had a handgun, another had a shotgun and the third man may have been armed with a handgun as well.

"They told the people inside they were looking for 'it,' " Sangberg said. "Whatever 'it' is."

The men took a cell phone and a laptop computer, ransacked the home and damaged another cell phone before leaving. Sangberg said the three adults and three children in the home at the time were not injured.

"We have been to the house before. I can't comment right now as to why," he said. "I'm not sure if when we were at the house before, if the people we dealt with then are the same people who were there last night."

Police say the descriptions of the gunmen are similar to the descriptions of three gunmen wearing black hooded sweatshirts who robbed Antonio's restaurant, 633 Washington Blvd., on Dec. 1.

Anyone with information on either case should call the Ogden police at 801-629-8216.
