The article about Sen. Bob Bennett seeking to stall a bill that would ban nuclear waste coming into Utah (Dec. 5) describes perfectly the practice far too many politicians are involved in. They seem more concerned about protecting their position, influence and wealth than what is best for the people. They are dancing to the tune of rattling money bags. He who rattles the biggest bag of "gold" gets all the favors.

I call it "political priestcraft."
