"May this Christmas be made merrier by sweet memories from the past," as the greeting from a 1932 Christmas card noted.
"Sweet Memories From Christmas' Past" will be the theme of a Christmas celebration Friday at the White Chapel at Capitol Hill, 150 E. 300 North.
The free event, sponsored by the International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers, will include music presented by the Graff Family of Layton, as well as Christmas stories.
The program will be presented at 11 a.m. and again at 1:30 p.m.
The White Chapel was the original 18th Ward LDS chapel, which was located on Second Avenue and A Street. When that building was replaced in 1973, original parts were salvaged and used in this replica, so the program offers a chance not only to enjoy Christmas music and story, but also an opportunity to view an exceptional example of Gothic revival architecture, notes the DUP. Refreshments will be served.
