TWIN FALLS, Idaho — Authorities say they may never determine the cause of death for two men whose decomposed bodies were found earlier this year in a Twin Falls mobile home.

Twin Falls County Coroner Dennis Chambers says his office has been investigating for six months the cause and manner of death of Michael Blank, 57, and Mitchell Mattison, 51.

Chambers says he can speculate, but is unable to prove anything at this point. Officially, he has ruled the cause of death indeterminate.

Police found the bodies in April. At the time, officials say the bodies had been decomposing for at least two weeks and dental records were used to identify the men.

Police also say their investigation of the property revealed nothing that could explain what happened in the case.
