The Division of Wildlife Resources will host its annual Raptor Watch Day Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Orem overlook along Squaw Peak Road just east of Orem.

Thousands of birds of prey fly through Utah annually as part of their migration, and this time of year is one of the best times to spot many of them. The DWR will be on hand to help those interested to identify many of the birds. Those in attendance could have a chance to see vultures, eagles, hawks and other birds of prey. DWR will also release a great horned owl back into the wild at noon.

Squaw Peak Road may be accessed from Provo Canyon Road (I-15 Exit 275 then proceed east on 800 North).
