LEHI — Saturday morning there will be a 5K Board, Bike or Run at Wines Park, 500 N. Center, Lehi, to benefit Bridger Hunt and his family as they attempt to pay for reconstructive surgeries, physical therapy and outfitting his home in order to be handicapped accessible.

Registration will open at 6:30 a.m. and will cost $25. Participants may also pre-register online for $20 by going to www.bridgerhunt.com, where a registration form may also be downloaded and dropped off at 26.2 Running in American Fork, Runner's Corner in Orem or MiloSport in Orem.

Participants will receive a full hot breakfast, catered by Utah Food Services, a T-shirt and be entered into a prize drawing. Many gifts and services have been donated by the community for this event. Non-participants are welcome to come and buy breakfast ($7.50 for adults, $5.00 for children), have their faces painted and buy a T-shirt or wristband marked "for Bridger." The event should be finished by 10:30 or 11 a.m.

Bridger was hospitalized for several weeks after he was severely injured by homemade fireworks that exploded near him July 24.
