Acme Burger Company, 275 S. 200 West, is offering customers a Monday Night Mini Madness menu from 6-10 p.m. The Mini Madness Six-Pack features mini-burgers of bison, lamb and beef, shoestring fries and three, four-ounce servings of draft beer of the individual's choice, for $12.50. For those with a bigger appetite, or more mouths to feed, there also will be a 12-pack and a "case" of mini-burgers available.
The Monday night football game will be playing on each of Acme's big-screen televisions. The Mini Madness menu is an answer to customers' seasonal requests, according to Alan Ireland, co-owner of Acme Burger Company (www.acmeburgercompany.com).
Marie Callender's restaurants are offering a Fall Pie Sale through Oct. 31. Any whole pie to go is now available for $6.99, excluding fresh fruit pies and cheesecakes. Marie Callender's has restaurants in Salt Lake City, Midvale, Layton, Bountiful and West Valley.
Sunflower Farmers Markets is supporting National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a limited-edition pink reusable grocery bag. Beginning Oct. 1, the bags will be sold at Sunflower Farmers Markets for $2 each, with half of the proceeds dedicated to the advancement of breast cancer patient care in each individual Sunflower community.
The Mandarin in Bountiful will be closed through Oct. 12. The annual closure allows the restaurant's cooks to go back to China and the San Francisco Bay area to spend time with their families, according to co-owner Angel Manfredini.
Wasatch Community Gardens' Farmer's Formal takes place Wednesday, 6 p.m. at Pierpont Place, 163 Pierpont Ave. Proceeds from the dinner benefit Wasatch Community Gardens. Unlike most "formal" events, diners can come in their gardening overalls.
The dinner will celebrating the harvest season with dishes from local chefs and restaurants, using fresh seasonal ingredients. There also will be a silent auction and live music from Bueno Avenue Stringband.Wasatch Community Gardens has provided community garden plots, youth gardening programs, and free gardening workshops since 1989. Sixty community gardeners are able to grow and enjoy fresh produce, and donate extra produce to local food banks. Tickets are $50 in advance; $65 at the door (359-2658 or www.wasatchgardens.org).
