AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.— Terrell Cole wound up winning the job as Utah's new punt returner. The senior safety returned two kicks without incident in Saturday's 30-23 win over Air Force at Falcon Stadium. Cole's returns netted 14 yards.

Punt return is cool, Cole said. Just catch the ball and get what I can get. That's my job.

Cole earned the position in practice earlier in the week. Utah's adventuresome struggles to field punts earlier this season was called a fiasco by head coach Kyle Whittingham. The coaching staff auditioned several players for the job in practice prior to making the trip to Air Force.

Cole considered that more nerve-racking than doing so in a game.

It's harder in practice when Coach Whit is standing there staring at you than it is out here, Cole said.
