Clearly those associated with TRAX understand that ridership during peak after-work hours has increased substantially due to FrontRunner and the cost of gasoline. Twice a week I get on TRAX to Sandy at about 4 p.m. at the Temple Square station. Consistently TRAX is either too early or too late. This causes large numbers of people to gather at the station. After the train arrives at the Temple Square station it is almost filled. When it subsequently gets to City Center and Gallivan Plaza, it is completely filled including standing room and door entry. So many people and bikes present an obvious safety hazard. If TRAX cannot effectively manage existing capacities, how will it manage new spurs and additional FrontRunner service?
