WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: The Wildcats lost their home and Big Sky opener Thursday night, falling 3-2 to Eastern Washington Eagles. The loss snapped WSU's five-match winning streak and dropped the Wildcats to 8-4 overall. Eastern Washington won the match 25-22, 28-26, 18-25, 18-25, 15-12 to win its third straight match in Ogden. It was Weber State's first five-set loss of the season.

Junior Micah Folsom led the 'Cats with a season-high 21 digs and hit .333. Brittney Bisaillon posted 17 kills and just two hitting errors for a hitting percentage of .536. WSU junior Chelsea Bair had 11 kills and 16 digs for her fifth double-double of the season. Amy Dunford had a career-high eight kills and Caitlyn Anderson had 20 digs for the Wildcats.
