Drs. Jason Hansen, Scott Taylor, David W. Brinton and Juan Carlos Vasquez have joined Intermountain Medical Group. Hansen specializes in microscopic skin-cancer surgery at the Memorial Clinic. His education includes degrees from Weber State University and the University of Utah. Taylor specializes in allergy/immunology at the Southridge Clinic. Previously a practicing allergist and immunologist in Salt Lake City, Taylor has a degree from Brigham Young University. Brinton specializes in sports medicine at the Southridge Clinic. He previously provided primary care at another office before serving as a staff physician at an after-hours clinic. He also is team physician for the University of Utah, the Intermountain Volleyball Association and the Salt Lake Bees and is medical coordinator for TriUtah, a triathlon and multi-sport event promoter. His education includes a degree from the University of Utah. Vasquez has opened his general surgery practice at the Intermountain Sandy Clinic.

Stephanie Smith and April Shaw have joined the Summit Group Communications. Smith joins the accounting department as controller. Her main duties will include tracking company expenses, revenue and billing. Smith has more than 10 years of accounting and management experience. Her education includes a degree from Utah State University. Shaw joined the accounting department at TSG as a media billing specialist. Shaw joins TSG with more than 12 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and management. At TSG, her duties will include all accounting-related activities with TSG's media negotiation department.

Samuel Stone has been elected a vice president of Stanley Consultants' board of directors. Stone joined Stanley Consultants' Salt Lake City office in 1997 as a senior project manager. He is currently manager of the Abu Dhabi office in the United Arab Emirates. His education includes degrees from the University of Utah and Brigham Young University.

Glenn R. Zaugg has been named chief executive officer of Heritage Schools Inc. He replaces founder Gerald Spanos, who held the office from the school's inception in 1984. Zaugg began working with Heritage Schools in 1993, when he served as chief financial officer. Since 2004, he was chief operating officer, responsible for overseeing the operations of the company under the direction of Spanos. Before working for Heritage Schools, Zaugg acted as controller and as a member of the executive committee for another company.

Sterling W. Nielsen has been named president and chief executive officer of Mountain America Credit Union. He will succeed Gordon R. Dames, who will retire Dec. 31. Nielsen has been executive vice president and chief administrative officer of the credit union. He joined Mountain America in 1995, having previously been an auditor with a Salt Lake City firm. Also, the credit union has named Tammy Cantrelle-Smith as manager of the Sparks branch. She has worked in financial services for nearly 17 years, with her entire career spent at S.P. Sparks Employees Federal Credit Union, which merged with Mountain America last year. Cantrelle-Smith started as a teller and has worked in many other areas of the credit union since then. She spent some time in commercial and real-estate lending, accounting, human resources and most recently as the vice president of operations.

Jim Bursach of ArrowStar Construction has been named superintendent on the Food and Care Coalition Building project. Bursach has more than 19 years of experience in all aspects of the construction industry. Prior to becoming a job superintendent, he worked as a subcontractor. His expertise includes drywall, framing, flooring and stucco.

Jeff Olsen has been named president of the American Advertising Federation-Utah, formerly Utah Advertising. Olsen has directed creative efforts at five agencies, including currently at Rare Method. His education includes a degree from Utah State University.

Joel Cook has been named utility sales manager for Komatsu Equipment Co. Cook will oversee sales for the Komatsu line of compact equipment, as well as continue to serve as the finance manager of the company, a role he has been in for the past three years. Cook's education includes a degree from the University of Utah.

Megan Hoskins has joined Richter7 as a public-relations account coordinator. Before joining Richter7, Hoskins worked for two years as a public-relations account coordinator at an advertising agency in Phoenix. Her education includes a degree from Westminster College.

Russell Smith has been named the new regional administrator for the Small Business Administration's Region VIII, composed of Utah, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. Smith will oversee the region's district offices and the implementation of agency programs, services and priorities. Smith has been with the SBA since 2007, serving as a senior adviser in the Office of Capital Access and as the deputy director for the Office of Communications and Public Liaison. Prior to the SBA, Smith spent more than seven years at a research firm and spent time in the energy-law practice of a New York-based law firm and worked at a nonprofit veterans foundation.

Eric Shoup has joined The Generations Network as vice president of product for the Ancestry.com business unit. He will be responsible for the product strategy, product definition and design for the Ancestry.com platform, and he will lead the product management and user interface design teams. He has more than 15 years of product marketing and general management experience. He will be based in San Francisco.

Chris Ritrievi has been selected to lead the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation. Ritrievi has 26 years of fundraising experience and is a professional ski instructor at Park City Mountain Resort.

Jon Richards, Phil Thompson, Jessica Polychronis and Ruben Mendez have been promoted at Industrial Supply Co. Richards has been promoted to chief executive officer. He has experience in distribution, technology and finance and became the company's chief financial officer in 1998. He was promoted to president a year later. His career also includes stints as a senior auditor and as treasurer and controller at a pair of other companies. His education includes degrees from Brigham Young University and Utah State University. Thompson, formerly CEO, has been named the chairman of the board. Polychronis has been promoted to vice president of procurement and marketing. For the past six years, she was the director of marketing while also fulfilling the role of director of purchasing. Her education includes a degree from the University of Utah. Mendez has been promoted from director of operations to vice president of operations and customer service. Mendez has more than 10 years of experience at the company.

Melissa S. Rosato has been appointed vice president of business development at inthinc. She previously was director of business development, a global account manager and regional sales manager at other companies.

Rob Booker has joined Interbank FX as chief market strategist. His responsibilities include educating prospects and customers about IBFX's online trading products and representing the company in media appearances and events. Booker founded and hosted TraderRadio.net and wrote several currency-related e-books.

Scott Slaymaker, Eric Slaymaker, Stefano Bronzati and David Neves have been promoted at the Slaymaker Group. Scott Slaymaker has assumed the role of president and CEO of The Slaymaker Group Inc., overseeing all corporate operations, with particular management responsibilities for the company's TGI Friday's franchisee restaurants. Eric Slaymaker has become president and CEO of Winger's USA Inc. and Winger's Franchising Inc. Bronzati has been elevated to vice president of franchise operations at Winger's, principally charged with overseeing the development and support of the Winger's Grill & Bar franchise system. Neves has assumed the position of vice president of concept development, overseeing both the Winger's corporate stores division and new food and bar development for the restaurant chain overall.
