It's only September, but the Utah basketball team has already lost a game.
Actually the Utes are playing one less game this season than originally planned.
Utah expected to play three games in the Glenn Wilkes Classic in Florida in late November, but after two teams dropped out of the scheduled eight-team tourney, the Utes will play just two games in the round-robin format.
The Utes will play Mississippi of the SEC on Friday, Nov. 21 at 4:30 p.m. MST at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. Then on Saturday, while the Utah football team is playing archrival BYU, the Utes will play Morgan State of the MEAC in a game that begins at 2:15 p.m. MST. The Bears finished 22-13 last year and played in the NIT.
Utah was to play a third game on Sunday, but will head home, while Wisconsin-Green Bay meets Morgan State and Marshall plays Ole Miss.
The Utes will also play Wisconsin-Green Bay in a home game on Nov. 18 at the Huntsman Center as part of the tourney.
