Two people have been charged following a baby-shower brawl, involving a shotgun and a shovel.

Sheriff's deputies were called Sunday to a fight at a home, near 5600 West and Plumbago Avenue in Kearns, according to charges filed Wednesday in 3rd District Court.

At some point during the baby shower, a 40-year-old woman hit a guest over the head with a shovel, knocking her unconscious, according to the charges.

A 35-year-old man then grabbed a shotgun from the back of his pickup truck, racked it and "swung the gun around at people," according to the charges.

Both the man and the woman have been charged with aggravated assault, a third-degree felony.
