I voted for John McCain in the 2000 primaries and was disappointed when he did not win the nomination. I moved to Arizona and was proud that McCain was my senator. This year, I again cast my vote for McCain and was thrilled that he won the Republican nomination for president. Now "my" candidate is asking me to believe that someone he and his advisers don't even trust to speak to the media is ready to govern the country?

This vice presidential nomination is a pandering, political maneuver that the McCain I voted for eight years ago would have never considered. Who do I vote for now? It will not be McCain/Palin.
