I suppose, since I work straight swing shifts, I have missed the news that John McCain was taken off the Republican ticket for president. The corporate media seems to think that the only thing that is important is the visibility of Peggy Hill, I mean Sarah Palin. I know for a fact that Barack Obama, McCain and Joe Biden are on the campaign trail discussing their plans for America, but the media seem to believe we, as citizens, are so stupid we are only interested in Palin's snout. No matter how one feels about the selection, we are underserved by the lack of discussion and coverage of the issues facing our nation. Where is the FCC? Where is the "public good"? Never mind. I forgot, it is another victim of the past eight years of letting the fox into the henhouse.
