VOLLEYBALL: Senior Brittney Bisaillon was named the Big Sky Conference Volleyball Player of the Week on Monday after leading the Wildcats to three wins over the weekend. Bisaillon, a native of Lakefield, Minn., was named the Tournament MVP of the Gonzaga Invitational in Spokane, Wash., after leading Weber State to the tournament title. She averaged 2.71 kills per set, 0.93 blocks per set and had a .419 hitting percentage in the three matches. Weber State defeated San Diego State 3-2, UTEP 3-2 and host Gonzaga 3-1 en route to the tournament title.

WOMEN'S SOCCER: The Wildcats' Kierstin Wood was named the Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Week for games played Sept. 8-14.

Wood scored twice to lead Weber State to a 2-0 victory over UTEP on Friday. The freshman midfielder from Layton tallied in the 27th minute on an assist by Whitney Smith, and again in the 81st minute off assists from Hayley McCoy and Emily Freshman. The two goals give Wood three on the season, and she is now tied with McCoy for second on the team in scoring.

Northern Colorado defender Megan Bellendir was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
