Salt Lake police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men who pulled a violent robbery Saturday morning at the 7-Eleven at 1353 W. Indiana Ave.

The two men entered the convenience store around 1:15 a.m. One pulled a 9 mm handgun and demanded money, police said. After the clerk complied, the men left the store. One man turned and fired a shot at the clerk, shattering the window that was between them, police said.

Police said the first man is described as an adult male about 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and wearing a brown, hooded sweatshirt, dark blue bandana, dark shoes and white gloves. The second man was described as being about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds and wearing a dark jacket, black beanie cap, dark bandana, dark shoes and white gloves.

Police warn the men should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information can call the Salt Lake City Police Department at 801-799-3000.
