The Uintah Association of Governments in Price will receive a $50,000 federal grant to repair and rehabilitate at least 15 homes for low-income families.

The grant is part of $9.1 million in restoration funds to be shared by 148 groups and individuals nationwide to repair leaking roofs, unsafe plumbing or crumbling foundations.

USDA Rural Development's mission is to increase economic opportunity and improve the quality of life for rural residents. Rural Utah has received just under $936 million for nearly 5,000 individual properties since 2001.
