He got worse than he gave.
A 17-year-old boy ended up cutting himself worse than the 52-year-old man he attacked Tuesday evening in Pioneer Park at 350 S. 300 West, said Salt Lake City Police Lt. Scott White.
White said the two individuals started quarreling in the park when the boy pulled a pocket knife and attacked the man. The boy sliced his hand in the process and only nicked the other man on his wrist.
Police arrived and arrested the boy, White said. At this point, officers are uncertain what the two were bickering about.
The boy was taken to University Hospital and then juvenile detention.
