Salt Lake police were looking Monday for two men in connection with a violent weekend convenience store robbery.

About 1:15 a.m. Saturday, two men walked into 7-Eleven, 1353 W. Indiana Ave. One went to the counter, pulled out a 9 mm handgun and demanded money, according to Salt Lake police.

The robbers received an undisclosed amount of money and walked out. Once outside, one of the men pointed a gun at the clerk and fired, shattering the window that was between them, according to police. The clerk received a small cut that detectives believed was caused by flying glass.

Investigators were looking Monday for a man about 6-feet tall with a bulky build, and another about 5-foot-8 with a thin build. Both wore bandanas over their faces and dark clothing.

Anyone with information on the robbery can call the Salt Lake Police Department's Tips for Cash line at 799-4636.
